Robbers Attack Minna Bank, By: Pita Chikwem

About 20 suspected armed bandits, on Tuesday, attacked First City Monument Bank (FCMB), near Shiroro round about, Minna, and made away with undisclosed huge sum of money.

A civil security guard attached to the bank, who pleaded anonymity, told Daily Times that the suspected armed robbers, numbering about 20, attacked the bank at about 2: ooam.

He said the suspected hoodlums destroyed the ATM machine in the bank premises and made away with undisclosed cash.

According to him, the suspected bandits, broke the main gate of the bank,injuring one police man on duty, took away his AK 47 riffle and tied the civil security guard on duty.

He said the chief security officer of the bank was assisting the police in investigations.

Confirming the incident, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Bala Elkana, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, said that the police has not made any arrest.
