President Buhari Sacks NPA MD, Ado Bayero

President Muhammadu Buhari has terminated the appointment of the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Alhaji Sanusi Ado Bayero, who was appointed by former President Goodluck Jonathan in the twilight of his administration.
A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, said the termination of Bayero’s appointment was with immediate effect.
The statement reads: “He is to hand over the management of the NPA and all government property in his possession to Mr. Habibu Abdullahi, who has been reinstated as Managing Director of the NPA by Buhari.
“Buhari wishes Bayero well in his future endeavours.”
Bayero is the son of the immediate past Emir of Kano the Alhaji Ado Bayero, who died last year.
