Fake gynecologist doctor was paraded by nigeria Police for duping victims.

The Oyo State Police Command on Wednesday paraded a fake gynacologist, Mrs. Damilola Ojo, who defrauded three of her victims of over N23‎ million.‎

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Leye Oyebade, while parading the suspect at the Eleyele Police headquaters, ‎said the fake doctor also confessed to consulting a spiritualist to ensure her victims believe her and give her whatever she demands for.

According to him, she also lied to her victims that she worked at the University College Hospital in Ibadan.
“The fake doctor and other suspects that the suspect collected money from to treat their fertility problem, also defraud them of huge sums. “

Oyebade said she also defrauded her victims by telling them that she could facilitate their entry into oil and gas business. However, she was also gullible as another fraudster, her spiritualist, defrauded her of a huge sum too.

“In what appears to be nemesis, Damilola was reportedly defrauded of the sum of N48m by Asifu Ajinikirun, another fraudster who claimed to be a spiritualist. The suspect was known in her church and neighbourhood as Dr. Dammy Ojo. She had worked as staff nurse in Goodswill Hospital, Oyo, where she was employed with ‘To whom it may concern’ document.” the police boss said.

Reliving her ordeal, one of her victims, Funke Olagbajuwho resides in Oluyole Estate in Ibadan, said she met the suspected fake doctor at a church programme in December 2015 and that she fell to the suspect’s trap in her bid to have a child after 12 years of marriage.

“I was told by members of the church that the woman was a gynaecologist at the University College Hospital, Ibadan. I have been married for 12 years without a child so I thought it was an opportunity to meet someone who could treat me. I was eager to meet her. She told me at a point that I had cyst and so on. My husband paid her N86, 000 and another N172, 700.

She said, “One day, she said she would introduce me to oil and gas business. She said many UCH staff is into the business. I gave her N1.25m and later N100,000. She later refused to pick my call, giving me untenable excuse. I began to ask for my money when there was no way forward about the business but she avoided me until my husband heard about it and involved the police.”

But for Mr Caleb Owokunle, a co-tenant of the fake doctor, who lost N22m to Mrs Ojo said she has a hospital beside his house in Moniya but did not suspect she was a fake doctor and a fraudster.

“In the process, she told me that she had two fuel filling stations and that I could make a fortune from oil and gas business. I did not know what got over me because I took a loan of N2m from Nigerian Breweries where I work and gave it to her. In all, she took everything I had, worth N22m. I fell into her trickery because I did not listen to my wife who is very religious,” Owokunle said
