War for shirt in Milan Oduamadi vows.
Super Eagles forward Nnamdi Oduamadi has vowed to fight for shirt in the first eleven of Seria A side AC Milan.
The Nigerian international is returning to the club after completing a loan spell with Finnish Club side HJK Helsinki.
Oduamadi who has been on loan to eight clubs from the San Siro outfit believes he has all it takes to maintain a place in the Vincenzo Montella tutored side especially as they aspire for a champions league spot.
The 26-year-old, who netted seven times in 28 league games of HJK last year,
took to his Instagram page to share a picture of his training. Oduamadi no doubt will be hoping to finally settle down at the San Siro after over six years of marathon loan deals.
At the national level it would be recalled that Oduamadi was first capped by Nigeria U-17,when he was at the Pepsi Football Academy. He went on to be called up by Nigeria U-20
to take part in the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup, but eventually was cut from the final squad due to a hamstring injury.
He however made his full international debut for Nigeria against Kenya,on 29 March 2011, featuring as a second-half substitute.
Two years later, he made his second appearance against Kenya in a 2014 World Cup qualifying match, where he scored the equalizing goal in the 94th minute.
Oduamadi was selected for Nigeria’s squad at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil
where he scored three goals in Super Eagles 6-1 demolition of Tahiti in their opening match.
A return to full action for AC Milan will certainly increase his chances of being considered
as Super Eagles keep date with qualifiers ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
