Critically ill croatian girl onboard cruise ship save by NSRC
The National Search and Rescue Centre, NSRC, has saved a young girl
onboard the Italian cruise ship, Costa Mediterranea, near the island of
Sir Abu Nu’ayr, arriving from Muscat.
The emergency medical evacuation was under taken by the centre after receiving a distress call from the ship's captain. A rescue helicopter was then dispatched to evacuate the critically ill 14-year-old girl of Croatian origin, along with her father.
The girl was shifted to Khalifa Hospital for medical care in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Health Authority, SEHA.
